Are you ready to diet however can not afford to join a club such as Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig or whatever else is out there? Well, if you are like me I have been looking some a
program that would fit into my schedule, something I could do alone and also if free. The free part was hard since most programs online cost a little bit of money as a startup fee. A few days ago I learned about an online program that every health conscious person should be aware of and apply.

The program that I have mentioned is called Diet Program. It is an online program that can really help individuals out with dieting or just plan getting healthy. By simply putting in some basic information, the program will create a report about the food and activities that were done that day. The best part, it is totally confidential unlike other programs and is completely free!

When I first heard about this program from a friend, I learnt that it was perfect for raw food eaters. So, I entered the website into my address browser and the website came into view. I looked all around for money signs however did not see anything on the entire page for the simple account. So, I proceeded into entering my e-mail account, password and the general information that was requested. It does not ask specific information such as telephone number and house address. After clicking “submit” I was in the system and a program arose.

The program is set up for all advanced and basic computer users, it is very simple. When in the account, one will notice there is a list of seven categories to work around. These categories are:

1. Foods: In this section, simply put in the foods that you have eaten that day. For instance, for breakfast I had a grapefruit. I clicked into “grapefruit” into blank box that is highlighted with
“search”. Automatically I was given a few choices of what kind of fruit was consumed and how much of it I ate. Then, I clicked “submit” and up came with the nutritional facts chart that is usually seen on pre-packaged items at the grocery store. If you have cooked an item, you can place all the ingredients in a chart and the nutritional information is once again given to you.

2. Activities: When first setting up this category, you are asked to kindly put what type of work you do everyday. For instance, I am a computer person with occasionally activity. Then, the system takes you into a chart page again that shows you how much activity you have completed. Then, simply place what type of activity you have done that day and submit the information. After submitting the information the chart will be updated and it will show how many calories you have completed that day. It has simply everything that you do from running a marathon to brushing your teeth.

3. The reports section is what really helps me out with my daily health goals. It has various reports that you can click on to see your progress. These reports are: “Calories Eaten; Am I meeting my daily nutritional requirements; how has my weight changed over time; Activity progress; where am I burning my calories; am I meeting my custom nutrition goals; and Am I burning the calories I eat?”

4: Weight: This is the section that is important to those individuals that are looking to lose or gain weight. By placing in your goal weight and date to achieve that weight, it helps guide you with charts on your progress. In addition, it helps chart what weight you should be based on your height.

5. Goals: This is the part that takes a little time to enter information in each day. Basically, it is a place that you can place values for your nutritional requirements. For instance, since I am rather short, I have needed around 1800 to 2000 calories a day to keep a normal, healthy weight. So, I placed this information into the system so the charts for the rest of the program will be personalized. Not only does it do calories however does saturated fat, vitamin C, water, sodium and so on. It is the perfect resource for those with a difficult, strict diet.

6. Journal: This is a just a basic journal to track your emotional and mental progress. It is for personal usage only.

7. Calendar: This allows you to see a box calendar with all the information that has been filled in each day. By simply clicking on a date, one can see what happened nutritionally that day. So if you gained weight in
one week, you can look through those days and see what went wrong.

Since I make most of my families’ meals, I am constantly wondering how many calories we are consuming. Yes, I am a calorie counter however more so a healthy conscious person. Since I only eat raw foods, it is hard to know the exact nutritional facts that I am consuming each day. Even though I am eating on the raw food diet, I feel as though I need to be careful about natural sugars and the nutrition I am consuming. This free program has completely taken the guessing work out of my diet ritual. I urge others to check out this site and see what it has to offer to you. Remember, it is a free account, so there is no money involved.
